Peace

Dec 5, 2021    Rev. Linda Taylor

As we focus our thoughts and attention on calling forth a new birth of Peace in our lives and in our world, this Advent writing by Unity minister Kelly Isola says it all...

The root of the Hebrew word for peace, shalom, means “whole, complete, sound” and point to peace within oneself as well as peace with all life. Think of peace like warm syrup – when you pour it over pancakes, you can see it slowly spreading out, sweetening everything it touches.

In the same way, peace begins with one person and spreads, then is returned in kind. When we are connected to our wholeness, we become peace on earth. We become the very juicy, ripe, sweet presence of peace, waiting to be tasted and embrace by those hungering for it.
