Since March of 2020 and in these unprecedented times, in-person services on the campus of Center of Unity were closed to the general public. The Board of Directors took this action to address the concerns, and issues presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. An utmost priority of your health and safety has guided all decisions made by the Board of Directors of Center of Unity. Additionally, responses to the congregational survey were central the Board’s most recent decision to respond to our current state of affairs. We are grateful for your feedback. Our tentative reopening date is now October 4, pending the parameters of fewer local infection rates, and safety measures in our community put firmly in place. Care, kindness, compassion, and health are the guiding principles at this time, and the Board of Directors greatly appreciate your persistence, patience, and prayer to meet our reopening date.
Our services never ceased, and we’ve continue to offer our Sunday Celebration Service, book studies, and classes on Zoom, as well as viewable recordings on Facebook and Youtube. Center of Unity has continued as a community, and we’ve persisted to gather, and experience the Presence of God together. Participate in your spiritual community at this time of “new normal,” when we’ll normalize the spiritual principles of healing, wholeness, safety, and life in these new, and unprecedented times. I encourage you to direct your attention and intention toward manifesting a life centered in these spiritual principles, as we patiently and persistently move forward into a world filled with love.
In Love and Service,
Reverend Geo Downer
